This year at the Hadfield family Christmas party, we put on a nativity. Davis got to be an angel. Since the other kids who were supposed to be angels were MIA, he ended up being the only one. He made a pretty cute angel, and hopefully his posterity will not hold it against him that he wore wings :)

This year we had a quiet Christmas Eve in Kaysville with my parents and grandpa. It was really nice to enjoy a traditional Cornish hen dinner and twice baked potatoes and just enjoy each other's company.
Davis got to try banana puffs for dinner, and FYI he HATED them! He doesn't like much except cereal and mama's milk right now... Anyhow, he got to open a present that night, which was a tradition in both Russ's and my families growing up. And dad told Snubbynose, a family tradition that hails from my Grandpa Hadfield's childhood. However, this storytelling was untraditional in that dad used silly hand actions throughout it to keep Davis's attention, and it worked!
We spent the night at my parent's house (actually, we spent the next week and a half there...yeah!), and we celebrated Christmas morning with my parents and Marie, Scott, and Dani.

| And Russ is fired! Here are the two BEST pics of the ENTIRE rest of Christmas Day: #1 |

| #2. Yeah, I know. We have no pics of any opened gifts, let alone the traditional pic of Davis surrounded by all his new toys. |

So here are some pics I took today of Davis playing with some of his new favorite toys. This is his new LeapFrog activity table (minus the legs). It plays lots of music and lights up. And it also has a speech setting (in both English and Spanish, nonetheless). It is super cute and not annoying...yet... |

| This is the new jungle toy (complete with animals that roll down) from Grandma and Grandpa Hadfield. |
Davis also got a lion walk/ride toy that he can use when he starts to walk (which at this point seems far off since he doesn't even crawl yet!), a cute toy piggy bank that makes noise from cousin Brett, a warm winter suit and some stacking rings from cousin Heidi, a cell phone, and a few other things that I don't have pics of either... ;)
Russ got some rock climbing gear; he decided it would be fun to do with the scouts, so he plans to get certified as a BSA climbing instructor. I got several wonderful items including a new ice cream maker that doesn't require ice or rock salt (let's just say I've made ice cream 4 or 5 times and sorbet once in the past two weeks--YUMMMM!). All in all, it was a successful Christmas haul!
We spent some of Christmas afternoon at Shar's house. She is a great hostess, and we had fun watching the kids play with their new toys. We also got to Skype with Russ's parents in Mongolia, and that is always fun. We headed back to my parent's house in the late afternoon to exchange gifts with my siblings. It was an awesome day! I love the Christmas season and can't wait for the next one!!
