watching the fire fighters test the fire hydrants in our neighborhood
(and "riding" the neighbor's bike)
swimming with ellie
(watering cans keep this kid occupied for hours)
hanging out with daddy
Davis has become much harder to get a good, smiling pic of recently...
in an 80s punk rock band?? (not sure what is up with the bandana, but it's supercool)
playing at the park
(we actually had a picnic there, and for days afterward, Davis would spread out a blanket --or a red-checked hot pad--and pretend to have a picnic)
everyone says Davis is a "little Russ" -- it is really apparent here!
eat your heart out, ladies...
(blackmail pic for future girlfriends??)
playing with Ethan
everything is more fun in a laundry basket
my cute mom!
(love you!!)
"helping" dad in the yard
One of Davis's favorite things this summer has been weeding.
In fact, given the choice between weeding a playing in the tent while dad cleaned it out, Davis said "I pull weeds. I rather pull weeds."
Davis says at least once a day, "I pull weeds."
(He usually only sticks to it for about thirty seconds...)
We even had to buy him his own pair of work gloves.
He really likes these safety goggles he got with one of his tool sets.
He calls them his "sun goggles."
Davis has had tons of fun swimming this year.
This is one of my favorite goofy pics of him this summer.
falling asleep with his hand in a non-traditional place ;)
building a tall lego "candle" and then singing "happy birthday" and blowing out the "candle"
(is he practicing for next May already?!?)
at a family reunion at Bear Lake with Russ's family
(more pics to come)
(this was the view from the porch of our accommodations!)
Davis has developed a new love of playing catch this summer.
He also likes to throw the ball and have me hit it with his bat.
dancing on the bathroom counter, partially nude
blowing bubbles with Rhett, our neighbor whom Davis adores
Davis may have a new fascination with "shooting" things.
And he doesn't need a gun to do it.
(I am a little concerned with this habit.)
He can "shoot" you with his finger.
He can "shoot" you with the square from his tool set.
He can even shoot you with his drill (see below).
He looks a little like a terrorist to me.

Hay! You ARE alive! :) Good to hear from you!
This was a great catch-up post! Don't put pressure on yourself to post X amount of times, any updates at any time are AWESOME!!!
P.S. We miss you. A lot. But Ellie threw up 5 times two nights ago, and I threw up last night, so we are not spreading germs around....
